Noriko Endo's Fabulous Workshop "Confetti Naturescapes"

This is where it all begins - with our Baby Go Cutter we produce little Confetti pieces of fabric which will create our scene.  Noriko is showing us how! The cutter also allows us, with a variety of cutting dies, to cut different shapes, such as strips, flowers, leaves etc. It's lots of fun and it saves time.
Next we provide a picture of the scene we've chosen and on a background fabric, we place our confetti pieces to form the scene.
The photos below show a completed first layer of the landscapes, but there is much more creativity and stitching to be done before the scene is complete.  This is only the end of day one!

The quilts were almost finished on day 2.  It was a very interesting new technique and a beautifully taught class.  We all went home anxious to finish our quilts so we may present them for the public to view at different venues.  We are hoping to hear from the local Peninsula Schools we have approached to show  our work for the benefit of their Textiles students.
Keep looking at this blog for further developments of this exciting technique.
